新型コロナウイルス感染症の状況に応じた本学の対応について

　7月12日より東京都に4回目の緊急事態宣言が発令され、千葉県でもまん延防止等重点措置の期間が延長されました。神田外語大学では、新型コロナウイルス感染症の感染拡大防止のため、これまでも様々な対策を講じており、学生・保護者の皆様のご理解、ご協力のおかげをもちまして、今現在まで、学内外でクラスターは発生しておりません。しかしながら学生の感染者は増加傾向にあり、これまでよりもさらに注意深く学内の感染症予防対策を講じる必要があります。

　学生の皆さんやご家族、教職員の安全を守るため、2021年4月28日に策定致した「「新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響を踏まえた項目別運用表」」（以下、運用表）上の「課外活動」の運用レベルを「レベル１」から「レベル２」に引き上げ、より一層の緊張感を持ち感染症予防対策を講じます。具体的な対応内容は各部門から皆さんに配信される情報を逐次ご確認ください。その他、授業形態等の方針に変更はありません。
今後も運用レベルに変更が生じた場合は、可及的速やかにキャンパスウェブおよび大学ホームページで情報配信しますので、定期的にご確認ください。

　現在もなお、20代の感染者数は他の年代より増加傾向にあり、また無症状の若い世代の感染者が気づかぬうちに周囲の高齢者等へ感染を拡大している可能性が指摘されています。また、変異株は若者でも重症化する場合や頭痛や味覚障害など後遺症の事例も報告されています。未だワクチン接種機会が限定的である中、皆さんが感染しないため、そして周りの方々を感染させないため、これまで以上に気を引き締めた感染症予防対策と責任ある行動にご理解とご協力をお願いします。

University Response to the Current State of Coronavirus Infections

Our university has been implementing a variety of measures intended to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infections. Additionally, with the understanding and cooperation of students, parents, and guardians, we have been able to prevent cluster infections on our campus. However, the rate of individual infections among students is increasing, and as the fourth state of emergency declaration will be issued in Tokyo from July 12, priority measures to prevent the spread of disease at Chiba have been extended. As such, we will adjust the current levels on the Operations Table so that we may continue providing high-quality education, regardless of the circumstances. At present, the only changes that have been made are to, “Extracurricular Activities”, where we have changed the level from “Level 1” to “Level 2”. Please check the information delivered to you from each department for specific details.

In the case of any further changes, information will be posted both to CampusWeb and the university homepage, so please be sure to check back regularly for updates.

Currently, infections are spreading amongst people in their twenties at a greater rate than in other age groups. It has also been suggested that asymptomatic carriers in younger generations may be spreading infections to older generations without knowing it. The new variant of the virus can be severe, even in younger people, with symptoms such as headaches and a distorted sense of taste, with some reports of long-term symptoms.

Please note that we have not ruled out the possibility of returning to all-online learning to prevent the spread of infections. We sincerely ask for your continued cooperation and understanding.
