【学長メッセージ】令和8年台風25号により被災された皆さまへ / A Message to Those Affected by Recent Natural Disasters

2026（令和8）年9月21日の台風25号により犠牲となられた方々に深く哀悼の意を表しますとともに、被災された皆さま、そのご家族ならびに関係者の皆さまに心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

本学の所在する千葉市を含む千葉県をはじめとする広範囲で発生した記録的な大雨による浸水被害や土砂災害の報に接し、本学関係者一同、深く心を痛めております。依然として厳しい状況が続く中、被災地において復旧・支援活動にご尽力されている皆様に深く敬意を表します。

本学では、被災地域にゆかりのある在学生とそのご家族の安否確認を行っております。学生の皆さんが安心して学業を継続できるよう、必要な支援につなげてまいります。

また、「令和8年千葉豪雨」ならびに「令和8年熊本地震」で被災され、今もなお不便や不安を感じておられる地域の皆様の安全と一日も早い復旧・復興を心よりお祈り申し上げます。

We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in Typhoon Dujuan (Typhoon No. 25) on September 21, 2026, the August 2026 Chiba Heavy Rains, and the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to all those affected by these disasters.

All of us at Kanda University of International Studies are deeply saddened by reports of flooding and landslides caused by the typhoon's record-breaking rainfall, including Chiba Prefecture and Chiba City, where our University is located. Our thoughts also remain with those who continue to face hardship in the aftermath of the earlier heavy rains in Chiba and the earthquake in Kumamoto.

We express our profound respect and gratitude to everyone working tirelessly in the affected areas to provide emergency assistance, restore essential services, and support those in need amid the continuing difficult conditions.

The University has been working to confirm the safety and well-being of our students with ties to the affected areas and their families. We will connect students with the support they need so that they can continue their studies with peace of mind.

We recognize that many people in the affected communities continue to experience disruption, uncertainty, and anxiety. We sincerely pray for the safety of everyone affected and for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the communities impacted by these disasters.
