We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, and our heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the disaster.

With the scars of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake still evident, all of us at Kanda University of International Studies are deeply saddened that the region has once again been struck by a devastating disaster. We express our profound respect and gratitude to everyone working tirelessly in the affected areas to provide emergency assistance, restore essential services, and support those in need.

Since the earthquake struck, the University has been working to confirm the safety and well-being of our students with ties to the affected areas and their families. We will continue to connect them with the support they may need so that they can pursue their studies with peace of mind.

We recognize that many people continue to face days of great uncertainty and anxiety. We sincerely pray for the safety of everyone in the affected areas and for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the communities impacted by the disaster.
