ABOUT

This is a system that allows graduates of vocational schools to enter the third or second year of a four-year university. Transfer students can enter either public or private universities, and study a variety of fields, including language, economics, business administration, international relations, and social studies. The transfer examination for most universities consists of English, a specialized subject (essay, etc.), and an interview, so you can take the exam with fewer subjects. If you improve your English at Kanda Institute of Languages and prepare well for the transfer examinations, it is not a dream to enter your target university that you have given up on or have taken the entrance examination but did not get a good result, or even a national or public university that you had given up on because you took the liberal arts entrance examination.
Do not compromise on the university you "get in" to, but transfer to the university you really "want to get in" to!

BENEFITS

Graduation from both technical school and university in 4 years

Don't worry: "I was not accepted by the university of my choice. If you are a ronin, you will be late to find a job or graduate from college..." There is no need to worry. By transferring to a university, you can graduate at the same time as students who have graduated from high school and are currently enrolled in a university.

Students can go to college after they have a clear idea of what they "really want to learn.

If you are unsure of what you want to study, transfer is the right choice for you. Through counseling and lectures, you can clarify the research theme you wish to study and then choose the university of your choice.

'Hey, maybe I'm better at English than the college students I'm transferring to?'

Kanda Institute of Languages offers an intensive curriculum that allows students to earn the equivalent of four years of university credits in just two years. Upon graduation from KGU, you will have English language skills and study habits that are second to none for transfer students.

The transfer examination is a test of academic ability and expertise to keep up with lectures in the second or third year of university, and includes an essay and an interview.

INTERVIEW

If I had continued on to university,
I am sure that my TOEIC® 950 score and long-term study abroad would not have been possible.
My life definitely changed at Kanda Institute of Languages.

After failing the university entrance exam, I enrolled in the English major with the aim of transferring two years later, and the most memorable experience was the first class of the TOEIC® course, where the teacher, who was rumored to be the strictest in the school, blasted me, "If you call yourself a student of Kanda Institute of Languages, you should aim to score over 900 on the TOEIC®. These words ignited my fire and I studied hard for TOEIC®. Every day, I stayed at school until 8:00 p.m. for self-study, and then moved to a cafe to study until 10:00 p.m. I made sure to put into practice the advice I received from my teacher. By always putting into practice the advice I received from my teacher, I was able to raise my TOEIC score from 550 when I first entered the school to 830 a year later. In the end, I was able to obtain a score of 950 points. To be honest, when I first enrolled in the school, I was worried that I would not be able to get into the university this time, but as the results of my efforts showed up in the form of TOEIC® scores, I became more and more confident. My wish came true and I was accepted into Kanda University of International Studies, my first choice. In order to take on the challenge of studying abroad for an extended period of time, I chose to transfer to the second-year program. Starting this April, I will study abroad at a community college in Seattle, USA, for six months. I plan to do an internship in the hospitality industry there, and my goal is to become a hotelier who is proficient in languages in the future. Vocational school is not a detour. I encourage everyone to consider the route of "go to university after developing your skills at Kanda Institute of Languages" as one of your options. The best result will be waiting for you.
