TOEIC® Listening &
Reading Test

This test measures the two skills—listening and reading—necessary for effective communication in English. Scores are given in increments of 5 points, with a maximum score of 990.

TOEIC® Speaking &
Writing Tests

These tests measure the two skills—speaking and writing—necessary for effective communication in English. Scores are given in 10-point increments, with a maximum score of 200.

At Kanda Foreign Language College, you can register to take the exam for Levels 1 through Pre-Level 2. Levels Pre-1 and above are eligible for the “Certification Scholarship” program.

TOEFL ITP®

This test measures your skills in “reading,” “listening,” and “grammar” for the kind of academic English used in university lectures overseas.

TOEFL iBT®

This test measures all four skills of academic English, as used in lectures at universities abroad. If you plan to attend a university abroad, taking this test is practically a requirement.

IELTS™

This English proficiency test is widely used for studying abroad at universities and graduate schools in English-speaking countries, as well as for employment and immigration. It comprehensively assesses the four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

: Practical French Proficiency Test

This French proficiency test, administered with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, is designed for learners of French. It assesses proficiency across seven levels, ranging from Level 5 to Level 1.

DELF/DALF

These are French language proficiency exams certified by the French Ministry of Education. There are six levels—DELF (A1, A2, B1, B2) and DALF (C1, C2)—which comprehensively assess all four language skills.

TCF

This is a French language proficiency test certified by the French Ministry of Education. It assesses test-takers’ French language proficiency based on the CEFR (A1–C2) standards.

This is a Spanish proficiency test for Spanish learners, administered under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. It assesses proficiency across six levels, ranging from Level 6 to Level 1.

DELE Spanish Language Proficiency Exam

This Spanish language proficiency exam is accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, and Sports and administered by the Instituto Cervantes. It is designed for learners whose native language is not Spanish and assesses proficiency across six levels, from A1 to C2.

SIELE

This is a Spanish proficiency test designed for non-native Spanish speakers. It assesses the four skills of “reading comprehension,” “listening comprehension,” “written expression,” and “oral expression,” and test-takers can choose a combination of sections tailored to their specific needs.

Chinese Proficiency Test

This is a Chinese proficiency test administered by the Japan Chinese Language Proficiency Test Association for learners of Chinese. It assesses proficiency across six levels, ranging from Pre-Level 4 to Level 1.

HSK
(汉语水平考试)

This is a Chinese language proficiency test officially recognized by the Chinese government. It is widely used around the world as a means of certifying Chinese language proficiency. Proficiency is assessed on a six-level scale, ranging from Level 1 to Level 6.

"Hangul"
Proficiency Test

This is a Korean language proficiency test administered by the Korean Language Proficiency Testing Association for learners whose native language is not Korean. Proficiency is assessed on a five-level scale, ranging from Level 5 to Level 1.

(TOPIK)

This is a Korean language proficiency test administered by the South Korean government for learners whose native language is not Korean. Based on their scores, learners are certified at levels ranging from Level 1 to Level 6.

, Microsoft Office Specialist

This certification demonstrates proficiency in using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—three Microsoft Office products that are particularly common in business settings.

IT Passport

This is a national certification exam that demonstrates basic knowledge of IT. It is a valuable credential for job seekers, not only at IT companies but across all industries.

This certification exam measures the English proficiency required in the fields of science and technology. It evaluates the ability to read and write scientific and technical documents in English, such as instruction manuals, specifications, and research papers.

This certification exam, administered by the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, assesses knowledge and skills in bookkeeping and accounting. It enables candidates to acquire the foundational skills necessary for business operations and management.

Certification Exam

This certification exam evaluates knowledge and skills related to etiquette and protocol (international etiquette). It is useful in various customer service industries, such as airlines and hotels.

: Practical Certification Exam

This certification exam comprehensively evaluates the practical knowledge required in the hotel industry. It enables you to acquire knowledge of all aspects of hotel operations, from service to management.

Travel Business Manager

This is a national certification under the Travel Agency Act. There are two categories: “Domestic Travel Business Manager” and “Comprehensive Travel Business Manager,” both of which certify the specialized knowledge and practical skills required for the travel industry.

Tour Manager

This is a qualification required for tour escorts who accompany tours. There are two types: “Domestic Tour Manager” and “Comprehensive Tour Manager.” Comprehensive Tour Managers are authorized to accompany tours both domestically and internationally.

Tourism English Proficiency Test

This certification exam evaluates the English proficiency required in the tourism and travel sectors. It assesses candidates’ knowledge of specialized terminology used in the travel and tourism industries, as well as their practical English skills.

World Heritage Certification Exam

This certification exam assesses knowledge and understanding of World Heritage sites. It helps participants learn about World Heritage sites—which are a shared heritage of humanity—and develop the ability to communicate their value and appeal.
