Support for Students with Disabilities
The University has established the "Support Desk for Students with Disabilities" to provide necessary support for the education and student life of students with disabilities. In addition, the "Support Committee for Students with Disabilities" has been established to discuss and deliberate on support for students with disabilities, with the participation of the Academic Affairs Division, Student Support Division, Admissions & Communication Division, and General Affairs Division.
The Committee discusses how to give consideration to the content of the consultation, the necessary response and its scope, taking into account the content of the application form and attached documents as well as educational fairness.
In actual support, the coordinator of your department and the Support Desk for Students with Disabilities provide reasonable accommodation based on the request of the student with disabilities. When necessary, support is provided in close cooperation with the Student Counseling Office, Medical Office, and other related departments.

Academic Characteristics

Classes at Kanda Institute of Languages are offered in a variety of formats, including lecture-style classes in which teachers' explanations are the main focus, pair work and group work in which communication among students is the main focus, and presentation-oriented approaches.
In addition to verbal explanations, classes may be illustrated using a blackboard or whiteboard, a projector, or a TV monitor. Textbooks and printed materials are also used in some classes.
In language courses, pronunciation and utterance are generally taught.
Depending on the department and subject, there may be off-campus fieldwork and practical training.
There are several mandatory paper tests (TOEIC and vocabulary tests) outside of class that must be taken for advancement and graduation.
