STEP01

Attend the University's Open Campus
(from April 1, 2026)

Please attend our open campus (including online format and individual consultation) to understand the curriculum and features of Kanda Institute of Languages.

STEP02

AO Interviews
(June 1, 2026 - January 5, 2027)

We will conduct AO interviews at open campuses and during individual consultations. Please tell us about your dreams and goals for the future.
Within a few days of the interview, we will send you the "AO Application Permit" by email attachment, which you will need when applying.

STEP03

Apply through the University's web application site
(September 1, 2026 - January 5, 2027)

Applications are accepted through the university's web application site. Please select the department you wish to apply for and enter your personal information. Applications can also be submitted via smartphone. If you do not have an Internet connection and cannot apply, please contact us by phone (0120-815-864). (Please call us at 0120-815-864-8681.)

Submission of Application Documents

After registering your application on the web application site, please send the required documents by mail or submit them to our office.
Please note that the examination fee for the AO Entrance Examination is fully exempted.

STEP05

Selection (document screening)

Once the required documents are received, an examination number will be assigned to your examination voucher on the My Page of the web application site. After that, the screening of documents will be conducted at the university. You do not need to come to the school for the document screening.

*Only Global Business Course applicants will have an interview in Japanese and an interview in English including an oral examination (online examination is also acceptable).
 The selection date will be the same as the application period for the designated school recommendation entrance examination, etc.
*Depending on the results of the document screening, an examination may be required at a date and time designated by the University.

STEP06

Issuance of certificate of acceptance (notification of pass/fail)

Pass/fail will be announced on My Page within 5 business days after the examination number is issued (except for those who are required to take an additional examination).
Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent by registered express mail in a few weeks (approx. 2 to 3 weeks). Please note that we do not announce results by posting on campus or by telephone.

STEP07

Admission procedures (payment of school fees)

Please transfer the school fees to the designated bank account indicated in the materials enclosed with your acceptance letter by the deadline for enrollment procedures.

*The admission fee is 100,000 yen, but a reduction/exemption system is available for applicants who apply through the AO entrance examination. For details, please click here.

Certificate of Admission

It will be sent together with the "Future Schedule" which contains a detailed schedule after the entrance ceremony.

STEP09

Pre-Enrollment Education Program and
Classroom Testing

Please take the pre-entrance education program and the placement test. Details and dates will be announced at a later date.

Applications are accepted through the university's web application site. After selecting the application method and the department you wish to apply for, please enter your personal information on the website. After completing the information, please pay the application fee by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline date of each application period.
The application fee is 25,880 yen (25,000 yen + 880 yen handling fee), but it can be waived depending on the application period and method. For details, please click here.

The application fee is 25,000 yen plus a handling charge of 880 yen. However, applicants who have graduated from a Japanese language school designated by Kanda Institute of Foreign Languages and have a recommendation from the designated school are exempted from paying the application fee (except for the Graduate School Preparatory Course).
