In English
Learn a wide range of content

The Study Abroad Program at an Overseas University is not about "learning English," but about "learning content (departmental subjects) in English. Students will study in the same curriculum as that of local overseas universities, focusing on "listening, speaking, and using" university English on a daily basis.
*Only the classes for study abroad and job hunting will be conducted in Japanese.

1 year and 8 months of technical school +
2 years of college and graduation from an overseas university

By earning the equivalent of two years of university credits in one year and eight months, students can transfer to an overseas university in the third year. By transferring credits equivalent to two years of university, students are able to study specialized courses immediately after entering university, effectively shortening the time spent at overseas universities.

For the
English exam required for transfer admission.

Each overseas university has its own English test as a requirement for admission. Classes focus on preparation for the TOEFL iBT®, and as your language skills improve, we will prepare you for other English tests (such as IELTS). This expands your choice of universities to which you can enter after graduation.

Ensure transfer to an overseas university.

Some overseas universities have their own transfer requirements for students of this course, and some partner universities offer scholarships for students with outstanding academic records. The content of study at Kanda Institute of Languages may be evaluated as equivalent to the second year of university study at an overseas university, and it is possible to consider the timing of study abroad according to your career plans after graduation. Our staff will provide information and advice on preparation and procedures for study abroad, and support students in their independent preparations. I went to
college in California to study filmmaking.
It was the best two years of my life that changed me.

I was interested in attending an overseas university, but I was not confident in my English ability. At that time, I learned about KIFL, which has a wealth of experience in transferring to overseas universities. I was convinced that "here I could focus on my dream and realize it without wasting time," so I chose to accumulate my strength over the next two years before venturing out into the world. Before entering KIFL, I had a tendency to see everything in a negative light. However, every day at KIFL changed me into a person with a spirit of challenge and a willingness to "give it a try. I will forever treasure the feeling of accomplishing a presentation in English, which I was not very good at, and having my friends say "I'm proud of you! I was able to build a solid foundation for taking on the world in these two years of continuous stimulation from my peers and teachers with diverse backgrounds.
