Where is the significance of learning a language?
Let's explore this together.

MORE

The goal of the International Communication College is to nurture individuals who can play an active role in the world with unparalleled language skills and an understanding of diverse values. In the process of learning a language, students learn about the culture and society of other countries and regions, and develop a global perspective. In addition to becoming proficient in the language of your major, you can also learn another language and become multilingual. We also provide abundant opportunities for study abroad and international exchange to experience different cultures firsthand.
Kanda Institute of Languages offers a traditional approach to language learning, with instructors who are trained in the latest teaching methods and who make maximum use of ICT tools for effective learning. The most important thing in learning a language is to have a clear goal of what you want to do with the language. With the arrival of the AI age, our lives are undergoing major changes. What is the significance of learning a language nowadays? I believe the answer lies in the "power" that comes from direct communication between flesh-and-blood people.

MORE

I want to work in subtitle translation for the movies I love. So what will it take to make that happen? For me, it was language. In my time, there were few opportunities to come into contact with native speakers and only a few materials to learn English. However, I never once thought of giving up. I just kept studying English with the sole intention of doing what I loved for a living. It took me 20 years to make a living as a subtitle translator. Subtitling films is a truly profound job. In order to draw the audience into the world of the film, it is necessary not only to be accurate in meaning, but also to choose words that capture the emotions of the characters. It requires more than English language skills; it also requires rich Japanese language skills. How to translate English expressions into Japanese and how to convey them in a limited number of characters is the key to a subtitle translator's skill. This is where the skill of the subtitle translator really shines. It can be a rough road at times, but deepening your studies toward your dream will enrich your life. Whenever I visit Kanda Institute of Languages, I am envious of its heavenly environment. Here, there are native teachers and foreign students who teach us "living foreign languages," and there are tons of state-of-the-art facilities and teaching materials. It would be a waste if you don't take advantage of this wonderful environment. If you want to, you can learn 8 languages at this place. Please do your best to achieve your dreams.
