Hello, friends!
This week, we’re learning more about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on the KUIS campus!
The 17 goals cover many topics, including fighting world hunger, peace and justice, equality, and environmental issues.
These events were organized by student groups on campus, including the SALC Rainbow Forum, MAKE SMILE, and Habitat for Humanity KUIS.
Students gave presentations, made posters, shared information videos, and organized campaigns to advocate for a variety of global issues.
Students collected pet bottle caps to raise money for vaccines, and also sold onigiri to raise money for charity.
Many of the videos and presentations were in English, or English and Japanese, so students could learn to talk about global issues in both languages.
