As well as a wide range of published materials, we have our own special English materials in the SALC. ELI teachers and SALC design staff develop these materials, and they write them specifically with KUIS language learners in mind. One of the problems of published materials is that they are designed for language learners all over the world, who have different needs and different skills.

Our materials are designed to complement other materials in the SALC, so they can help learners use other materials more effectively. The materials also contain suggestions for follow-up activities - so learners have some guidance about what to do next.
