LEARNING ADVISORY SUPPORT

Languages are a communicative tool and the learning advisory service in the SALC aims to support learners in their language learning through dialogue and communication. By talking with learners about their needs, objectives, processes, successes and weaknesses, the learning advisors help learners to develop an insight into their own learning and thereby foster life-long learning skills.

The learning advisory service in the SALC is unique. Kanda University of International Studies is the only institution in Japan with a team of 8 dedicated learning advisors who are available all day, from Monday to Saturday, to support learners with their individual language learning needs. On these pages there is more information about the role of the learning advisor, profiles of the learning advisory team and how to get advice, and information about the learning programmes available in the SALC: BASIL (Be A Successful Independent Learner) and the SALC Modules.
