Borrowing Materials

We have various kinds of materials to help you study independently. Some materials you can take home and some you can use only in the SALC. Please take a look at the chart for details. If it is only to be used in the SALC, that is because of copyright law.

Renewing Materials

If you want to borrow something for more than 2 weeks, please come to the SALC counter before the date it should be returned by. Otherwise, you can contact us and tell your name, SALC passport number, and the title of the material(s) you wish to renew. Then you can borrow it for 2 more weeks. You can renew once.

Borrowing Equipment

You can borrow the following equipment below to help you with your language learning. You need to bring your SALC passport to the counter. All equipment can be borrowed for one day only except for the MD walkmans, which you can take home for two weeks.

Facility Reservation

We have 8 Multi Purpose Rooms (MPR) and 6 Speaking Booths, and you can reserve these rooms on the day or up to two week ahead. Please come to the counter to reserve MPRs. You can reserve Speaking Booths either at the counter or online from: http://elisalc.org/

Photocopying Service

You can make free photocopies of any materials except for the latest edition of magazines and newspapers in the SALC (up to half a book). Please bring them to the counter.
